The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team remained undefeated in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference duals Wednesday with a 9-0 victory over UW-Stevens Point at Wangerin Tennis Courts.
The Warhawks (9-5 overall, 5-0 WIAC) also extended their active win streak to eight matches and have won 107 consecutive duals against conference opponents.
Bethany Marshall (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) and
Kellie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) combined for an 8-2 triumph at No. 2 doubles to give UW-Whitewater its first team point of the day.
Kasey Schlicht (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) and
Sabrina Palavra (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) paired at No. 1 and defeated Barbara Covek and Jenna Koepp by the same score.
Madalyn Bigelow (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) and
Bryce Bigelow (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) completed the Warhawks' doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory at No. 3.
MacKenzie Lindow (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles, and was quickly followed by
Paige Nierman (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Stevenson), who clinched the dual with a 6-0, 6-3 triumph at No. 1.
Olivia Kraft (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community) tallied a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2, while
Courtney Day (Oshkosh, Wis./North) registered a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 5.
Jessica Minkov (Schiller Park, Ill./East Leyden) secured a 6-4, 6-1 triumph at the fourth position, and
Molly Rueth (Wheaton, Ill./Glenbard West) survived a first-set tiebreaker on her way to a 7-6 (3), 6-3 victory at the third position.
The Warhawks close the regular season WIAC slate Sunday at 1 p.m. at Wangerin Courts.
