Women’s Tennis Downed at Division I Milwaukee

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team played its fourth dual of the season against a non-Division III opponent Sunday afternoon, falling 5-2 against Division I Milwaukee at River Glen Elite in Milwaukee.
 
The Warhawks (1-5 overall) claimed the Nos. 1 and 6 singles spots. Kasey Schlicht (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) defeated Iva Stejskalova 7-5, 6-3 at the first position, while Courtney Day (Oshkosh, Wis./North) won the sixth position by default.
 
Bethany Marshall (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) and Kellie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) played a closely contested match at No. 3 doubles, but were outlasted by a 6-4 score.
 
UW-Whitewater resumes play Saturday at Augustana. First serve is set for 3 p.m. at Quad City Tennis Club in Moline, Ill.
