The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team controlled possession for nearly two-thirds of Saturday's match but was unable to find the back of the net in a 2-0 shutout against UW-Stevens Point at Fiskum Field.
The Warhawks (9-4 overall, 2-1 WIAC) finished with advantages in shots (23-3) and corner kicks (17-1), but the Pointers tallied two times in the first eight minutes of the game and held onto the lead.
Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) attempted a team-high six shots, including one on goal, for UW-Whitewater.
Olivia May (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) tallied four shots, including one on goal, and
Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere),
Carli Nehls (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) and
Emily Thill (West Chicago, Ill./St. Francis) each posted two shots, including one each on goal.

Leah Eisenbarth (Lake Barrington, Ill./Barrington) took the loss, dropping to 5-3 on the season.
The Warhawks return to action Wednesday at Fiskum Field against Carthage. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
