The No. 9 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team earned two more victories Saturday to finish their trip to Washington University in St. Louis with a 3-0 record.
After defeating the host Bears on Friday night, the Warhawks (18-1 overall) topped Illinois Wesleyan 25-10, 25-8, 25-23 and Greenville (Ill.) 25-8, 25-18, 23-25, 25-16.
In the match against Illinois Wesleyan (10-10), UW-Whitewater held the Titans to a .000 hitting percentage and committed only eight attack errors in the match.
Erin McNeil (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) led UW-W with seven kills and five blocks.
Jenna Weinfurt (Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) tallied eight kills, five digs and two blocks, while
Emma Aske (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) totaled five kills, five digs and two blocks.
Morgan Wardall (Merrill, Wis./Merrill) finished with four kills, three digs and four blocks, and
Kirsten Anderson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) posted four kills on a .400 hitting percentage with three blocks.
KellyAnn Sotiros (New Berlin, Wis./West Allis Hale) generated 11 assists and nine digs, and
Paige Manssen (Bull Valley, Ill./McHenry West) recorded six assists and eight digs.
Morgan Jensen (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) led the back row with 14 digs to go along with seven assists.
Illinois Wesleyan led 5-1 early in the third set before the Warhawks quickly tied it at 5-5 and eventually took the lead for good on a kill by Anderson.
Against Greenville (13-5), UW-Whitewater hit a .232 and held the Panthers to a .075. The Warhawks totaled 13 blocks and nine service aces, and held Greenville to none.
McNeil and Weinfurt paced the offense with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Aske finished with eight kills, 14 digs and two service aces, Anderson tallied seven kills on a .636 hitting percentage with four blocks, and Wardall contributed eight kills and three digs.
Sotiros registered a double-double with 18 assists and 13 digs, and Manssen posted 16 assists, three service aces and four digs.
Jensen amassed 29 digs and eight assists, and
Hailey Mackenthun (Webster, Minn./Northfield) added 14 digs from the back row.
The Warhawks host Dubuque (Iowa) this Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Russell Arena.
