Men’s Soccer Falls at Luther

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team saw its three-match winning streak come to a close Monday night with a 4-0 setback at Luther in a match in Decorah, Iowa.
 
The Warhawks (8-2-1 overall) fell behind on a goal in the ninth minute and were unable to recover.
 
The Norse (7-4), currently ranked thrid in Region IX by the United Soccer Coaches, added goals in the 33rd, 75th and 83rd minutes.
 
UW-Whitewater recorded 14 shots in the match, including four on goal, and earned four corner kicks. Luther attempted 18 shots, including five on goal, and tallied five corner kicks.
 
Steven Wright (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) attempted three shots, including one on goal, to lead the Warhawk offense. Jalen Holley (Milwaukee, Wis./Wauwatosa East) and Jacob Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee) each registered two shots.
 
Goalkeeper Jake King (McHenry, Ill./McHenry West) finished with four saves in his 90 minutes of action.
 
The Warhawks visit Carroll this Wednesday at 7 p.m.
