The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams released their 2022 schedule, which officially begins in January.
Prior to the start of the regular season, the Warhawks will host their annual Alumni Intrasquad meet Dec. 11 at Kachel Fieldhouse inside the Williams Center.
UW-Whitewater will host its first of three home meets this indoor season on Jan. 22 with the Karl Schlender Invitational. The following weekend, UW-W will host the men's "Squig" Converse Invitational on Jan. 28 and the women's Warhawk Classic Invitational on Jan. 29. Multi events will be held both days.
After a trip to UW-Stevens Point for the Big Dawg Invite on Feb. 5, the Warhawks will host the Midwest Elite Invitational on Feb. 12. The teams will visit North Central for the F. Lee Slick Invitational on Feb. 18 in their final tune-up for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championship, which is scheduled for Feb. 25-26 at UW-Platteville.
Following two days of NCAA Last Chance Meets on March 4-5 at sites to be determined, the NCAA Indoor Championship will take place March 11-12 at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C.
The outdoor season kicks off April 2 at UW-Platteville's Pioneer Opener. UW-Whitewater will host the Rex Foster Twilight April 8 before heading back to Platteville for the UW-Platteville Invitational on April 15.
The Warhawks will host the two-day Warhawk Invitational and Multi April 22-23 and the Drake Alternative Meet on April 29 at Rex Foster Track.
The WIAC Outdoor Championship is slated for May 6-7 at UW-La Crosse. Following NCAA Last Chance Meets on May 13 and May 19, the NCAA Outdoor Championship is set for May 26-28 at SPIRE Insititute in Geneva, Ohio.
UW-Whitewater competed in modified indoor and outdoor seasons in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 NCAA Outdoor Championship was the first national meet conducted since May 2019.
