UW-W SUBWAY ATHLETES OF THE WEEK:
SOFTBALL

Mattie Klingenmeyer (Mayville, Wis./Mayville), Senior
Klingenmeyer helped the UW-Whitewater softball team win three straight WIAC championships and earn three straight bids to the NCAA Tournament, including a trip to the Super Regional round in 2018, when she appeared in a career-high 34 games and batted .286. Klingenmeyer totaled 20 hits and 14 runs batted in over three seasons and only committed one fielding error during that span, good for a .995 career fielding percentage. She is a three-year Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete, a two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and a 2019-20 UW-Whitewater Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete. Klingenmeyer graduated in May with a degree in marketing.

        
MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD
Seth Zimdars 2020 track and field head shot Seth Zimdars (Ripon, Wis./Ripon), Senior
Zimdars, a four-year member of the Warhawk men's track and field team, closed the 2020 season on a high note with a personal record time of 15:33.68 to place 12th in the 5,000-meter run at the WIAC Indoor Championships in February. He earned a podium finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2019 WIAC Outdoor Championships, running a career-best 9:28.90 to place eighth overall. Zimdars ran seven different mid-distance and distance events during his career. He is a two-year member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and is majoring in general business.
