The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded competition at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday night.

The women collected 603.5 points and the men earned 571 points, good for third place finishes for both teams.

Senior
Renata Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) won the 100-yard freestyle and reset her own school record in a time of 51.90, over two seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. This marked her third and final individual championship of the weekend.
Following competition, Schlomann was named WIAC Women's Swimmer of the Meet.

Meredith Gustafson (Brookfield, Wis./East) also claimed her third individual title of the meet. She finished the 200-yard butterfly in a mark of 2:09.07.

Bailey Weston (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) joined Schlomann on the podium in the 100 free. Her time of 54.35 was good for a seventh-place finish. Sophomore
Abby Thompson (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) joined Gustafson with a fourth-place finish in the 200 fly, finishing in a time of 2:16.31.

Olivia Theobald (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) and junior
Skyler Budny (Wheaton, Ill./Glenbard South) were top eight finishers in the 1650-yard freestyle. Theobald's time of 18:07.69 was good for fifth place and Budny's 18:18.96 mark was enough for seventh.

Leanne Stigler (Beloit, Wis./Muskego) and junior
Anna Yeazel (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) finished fourth and seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke. Stigler finished the race in 2:29.19 and Yeazel touched the wall in a mark of 2:32.29.

Emily Rundahl (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) finished sixth in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 2:12.08. Junior
Sydney Olson (Cudahy, Wis./Cudahy) finished sixth on the 3-meter board with a score of 313.00.

Savana Bitz (Grey Eagle, Minn./Melrose Area) joined Theobald, Weston and Schlomann for a first-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay setting a new school record with their time of 3:32.93.

Two men earned runner-up finishes in their respective individual events. Sophomore
Tristan Whiting (Hayden, Idaho/Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy) swam the 1650-yard freestyle in 16:19.75 and freshman
Joe Wenszell (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Virtual Learning) finished the 200-yard backstroke in a mark of 1:52.17. Wenszell also recorded a sixth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 1:56.12.

Jordan Kreitzman (Milwaukee, Wis./Rufus King) joined Whiting in the 1650 free. His time of 16:58.91 was good enough for a seventh-place finish. Junior
Zach Noll (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) finished just ahead of Wenszell in the 200 fly in a mark of 1:55.87.

Tyler Chatterton (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) recorded a 2:06.85 in the 200-yard breaststroke, good for a fourth-place finish.

Jake Herlache (West Bend, Wis./Grafton) and
Nick Jelich (Milwaukee, Wis./Marquette University HS) went 3-5 in the 100-yard freestyle. Herlache finished in 46.81 seconds and Jelich touched the wall at 47.03.

Zach Miller (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) and
Alex Tenhagen (Burlington, Wis./Wilmot Union) combined with Herlache and Jelich for a third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay with their time of 3:07.68.
