The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving teams combined for 18 all-conference honors, including two titles, on the second day of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships (Presented by Culver's) at Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer.

The men and women both sit in third place heading into the final day of competition. The women have collected 390.50 points while the men have earned 381 points.

Senior
Renata Schlomann (New Berlin, Wis./Divine Savior Holy Angels) won the 100-yard backstroke for the second year in a row. Her time of 56.45 broke her previous school record and was good for an NCAA "B" cut.Â

Fellow senior
Meredith Gustafson (Brookfield, Wis./East) collected her second career individual conference title in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:41.52.

Also in the 400 IM,
Anna Yeazel (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater),
Abby Thompson (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) and
Shayna Putney (New Berlin, Wis./Eisenhower) went 6-7-8 to fill up half of the podium with Gustafson. Yeazel finished the race in 4:51.11 and Thompson touched the wall at 4:55.21, just before Putney's final time of 4:55.25.

Olivia Theobald (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) and freshman
Savana Bitz (Grey Eagle, Minn./Melrose Area) finished fifth and seventh in the 200-yard freestyle. Theobald finished the race at the 1:56.70 mark and Bitz touched the wall at 1:58.69.

Leanne Stigler (Beloit, Wis./Muskego) earned her second medal of the meet by placing fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:08.43.Â

Bailey Weston (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson) and freshman
Emily Rundahl (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) joined Bitz and Theobald to finish second in the 800-yard freestyle relay in a time of 7:50.64.

On the men's side, juniors
Zach Noll (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) and
Tyler Chatterton (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) finished 2-3 in the 400-yard individual medley. Noll finished in 4:04.58 and Chatterton touched the wall in 4:06.41.

Freshman
Joe Wenszell (Milwaukee, Wis./Wisconsin Virtual Learning) collected his first individual WIAC medal in the 100-yard butterfly. His time of 51.56 was good for fifth place.

Three men placed among the top eight in the 200-yard freestyle, including junior
Nick Jelich (Milwaukee, Wis./Marquette University HS) who finished third in 1:43.03. Junior
Jake Herlache (West Bend, Wis./Grafton) was just behind in fourth with a time of 1:43.26 and sophomore
Tristan Whiting (Hayden, Idaho/Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy) finished in eighth with his time of 1:45.94.

Tyler Popke (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) finished sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 58.81. Sophomore
Zach Miller (Saukville, Wis./Port Washington) posted a 52.95 finish in the 100-yard backstroke, good for seventh place.

Jelich, Whiting, Chatterton and Herlache garnered All-WIAC accolades with their runner-up finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:59.94.
