Kumerow Activated for Sunday's Buffalo Bills Game

Former University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football standout Jake Kumerow (2012-14) has been elevated from the Buffalo Bills' practice squad to the active roster for the team's home game this Sunday at 12 p.m. Central Time against the Seattle Seahawks.

Kumerow, a wide receiver, signed to the Bills' practice squad prior to the start of the season after being released by the Green Bay Packers. Kumerow spent three seasons in Green Bay, appearing in 19 games for the Packers and posting 12 receptions for 219 yards and one touchdown.

Kumerow was a part of two national championships and a pair of WIAC titles during his career at UW-Whitewater. A two-year All-American, Kumerow was named D3football.com Offensive Player of the Year in 2014 after tallying 66 receptions for 1,116 yards and 14 touchdowns. He finished his career as the program's all time leader in receiving touchdowns (36).

Kumerow signed as an undrafted free agent in 2015 with the Cincinnati Bengals, spending two seasons on the Bengals' practice squad before spending time with the New England Patriots and Packers in 2017.
