The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team posted its first shutout of the 2019 season but was unable to find the back of the net on the offensive end Saturday in a 0-0 tie in double overtime against North Central (Ill.) in a non-conference affair at Fiskum Field.

Sara Klimisch (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Indian Trail High School and Academy),
Emily Mouille (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee),
Elli Wahlberg (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) and
Nina Yonan (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) were recognized for their accomplishments over the course of their careers.
Klimisch recorded her 15th career shutout in the effort, totaling seven saves. Junior forward
Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) recorded five of the Warhawks' 17 shots, including three of the six on goal. Wahlberg collected four shots, including one on goal.
The two teams played evenly during the first 45 minutes, each finishing the half with four shots and three corner kicks. Klimisch made a save in the 42nd minute to preserve the 0-0 tie.
Sophomore forward
Savannah Curtis (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) put a shot on target that was saved in the 56th minute, and Brodjian generated a late chance with a shot on goal in the 81st.
UW-Whitewater (2-1-1 overall) attempted five of the six shots in the two overtimes, but North Central (3-0-1) kept the hard-charging Warhawks off the board.
UW-Whitewater resumes non-conference action at next weekend's "W" Challenge at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. The Warhawks face Rhodes (Tenn.) Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Central Time.
