The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team suffered a tournament-opening loss to Rhodes College (Tenn.) by a score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at the "W" Challenge hosted by DePauw. This was the first time in school history that the two teams have played one another.

The Warhawks sit with a 2-2-1 record as the Lynx improve to 5-0.

Despite five shots, including two on goal from
Katy Kusswurm (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North) and
Elli Wahlberg (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) in the first four minutes of the second half, the Warhawks were unable to find the back of the net.

The Lynx scored their second and final goal in the 76th minute of the game.
