The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team extended its winning streak to three straight games with a win over Concordia Wisconsin by a score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

The Warhawks improve their record to 5-4-2 while the Falcons suffered their first loss of the season, dropping to 7-1.

UW-W controlled possession for the majority of the first half, keeping the ball on CUW's side of the field. The women recorded 13 shots, including two on goal, throughout the first 45 minutes.

Jenel Karow (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) had a shot on goal that did not make it past the goalkeeper in the seventh minute. The second shot on goal came from
Savannah Curtis (Lodi, Wis./Lodi) in the 42nd minute, but the Falcon defenders were credited with the block.

In the second half,
Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) recorded a shot on goal early in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper was able to save it as the ball was low and center.

Carli Nehls (Downers Grove, Ill./Downers Grove North) tallied a shot on goal just minutes later, but it was able to be picked up by the goalie in the 52nd minute.

The Warhawks had to wait until the 70th minute to put a point on the board, as Curtis was able to put the ball into the back of the net with an assist from
Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere).

Concordia Wisconsin tallied three shots in the next five minutes, but were unable to shoot the ball on target.

Throughout the game, the Warhawks outshot the Falcons 20-10, including 6-4 on goal, as the Warhawks were able to secure the win with Curtis' game-winning goal.

UW-Whitewater will travel to Galesburg, Ill., on Tuesday to play Knox College at 4 p.m.
