The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's soccer team shut out Ripon College on Tuesday night with a score of 3-0 in a non-conference affair at Fiskum Field.

The Warhawks improve to 3-4-2 while the Red Hawks drop to 2-6 in their respective seasons.

Anna Brodjian (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) got the Warhawks moving as she recorded two shots, including one on goal in the first eight minutes of the first half.Â

UW-Whitewater's first goal came from
Savannah Curtis (Lodi, Wis./Lodi), who was able to score a header with quick assists in the box from
Katy Kusswurm (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North) and
Anna Perona (Chicago, Ill./Loyola Academy) in the 26th minute of play.

The remainder of the half would stay at 1-0 as the Warhawks maintained possession on Ripon's side of the field.

UW-W came out strong in the second half as it received a corner kick within the first minute of play. In the 47th minute,
Elli Wahlberg (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) was able to make a pass to Kusswurm for the second goal of the game.

Just minutes later,
Madisyn Smith (Rockford, Ill./Boylan Catholic) tallied her first goal of the season with an assist from
Madeline Ulik (West Allis, Wis./Whitnall) in the 53rd minute.

Ripon was unable to create any opportunities as the Warhawks outshot the Red Hawks 13-3, including 6-0 on goal.

UW-Whitewater will travel to Decorah, Iowa, to face Luther College for a match Wednesday at 7 p.m.
