The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team posted a milestone victory Saturday, defeating UW-La Crosse 8-1 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual match at La Crosse Central High School.
The Warhawks (5-0 overall, 4-0 WIAC) have now won 100 consecutive dual matches against conference foes, with their last loss coming Oct. 7, 2006, by a 6-3 score against UW-La Crosse.
UW-Whitewater took all three doubles matches Saturday against the Eagles (2-1, 1-1). Sophomore

Megan Setter (Kenosha, Wis./St. Joseph Catholic Academy) posted an 8-2 triumph at the No. 2 position, and sophomores
Bryce Bigelow (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) and
Madalyn Bigelow (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) collected an 8-3 win at No. 3. The Warhawks' No. 1 duo of juniors
Paige Nierman (Hawthorn Woods, Ill./Stevenson) and
Sabrina Palavra (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) were last to finish, claiming a tiebreaker for an 8-7 (4) victory.
Sophomore
Olivia Kraft (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community) made it a 4-0 score with a 6-3, 6-0 triumph at No. 2 singles, and sophomore
Elsie Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5. Freshman
Courtney Day (Oshkosh, Wis./North) was next to finish with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6.
Palavra picked up a 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 3, and sophomore
Jessica Minkov (Schiller Park, Ill./East Leyden) completed the scoring with a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 4.
UW-Whitewater heads to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional next week starting Friday at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn.
