After finishing fourth at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Conference Championships last weekend, the Warhawks moved up nine spots to No. 10 in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division III Outdoor National Rankings.
Junior
Zach Jasinski (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) remains as the leader in the Division III pole vault with his career best mark of 17-01.00 (5.21m). Junior
Landon Zimmerman (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) is 19th in the shot put with a throw of 52-09.50 (16.09m).
In the high jump, senior
Dylan Ferger (Beloit, Wis./Beloit Turner) and sophomore Quinn Halverson are ranked 10th and 14th, respectively. Ferger owns a mark of 6-09.00 (2.06m), and Halverson holds a height of 6-08.75 (2.05m).
On the track, junior
Alex Duff (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) moved up to the No. 1 spot in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.27. He is also ranked 16th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.58. Freshman
Landon Keefover (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) is also ranked in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.74, good for the No. 23 spot.
Making their first appearances in the rankings after their performances at the WIAC Championships are sophomores
David Fassbender (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) and
Dwayne Ford (Racine, Wis./Case). Fassbender is 18th in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 30:32.40. Ford is 20th in the 100-meter dash after clocking in a 10.67 time.
UW-Whitewater will be competing at the the Eagle Open at UW-La Crosse on Friday. Events begin at 2 p.m.
