The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team reached the 15-win plateau for the 14th consecutive season Thursday with dual victories over a pair of in-state opponents at Wangerin Courts.
The Warhawks (15-6 overall) downed Carthage by an 8-1 score before topping Edgewood 6-1 in a match that was stopped due to inclement weather.

Alex Gray (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) put the team on the board with an 8-3 triumph at No. 1. Junior

Ryan Mitchell (Frankfort, Ill./Lincoln-Way East) made it a 2-0 advantage with an 8-6 win at the third position, and senior
Brandon Dechter (Mundelein, Ill./Carmel Catholic) and freshman
Noah Guillermo (Muskego, Wis./Marquette University HS) completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 victory at No. 2.
Gray posted a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at the third singles slot, and Wood clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 6. Engelhart and Dechter earned three-set victories at the Nos. 1 and 2 positions, respectively, and Mitchell collected a 6-3, 6-3 triumph at No. 4 to account for the final margin.
Against Edgewood (6-12), UW-Whitewater claimed five of the six singles spots. Conard, freshman
Parker Hearne (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) and Guillermo recorded straight-set wins at the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 positions. The Warhawks won at Nos. 5 and 6 by default.
The doubles matches were halted due to rain. UW-Whitewater claimed the No. 3 spot by default.
