The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team placed first out of 10 teams on Friday at the Augustana Meet of Champions in Rock Island, Ill.
The Warhawks recorded 175 team points, 34 ahead of runner-up Olivet Nazarene.
Sophomore
Quinn Halversen (Rockford, Ill./Christian) highlighted the day for UW-W by winning the high jump with a career-best 6-08.75 (2.05 meters). His height is currently tied for eighth in NCAA Division III. Senior
Dylan Ferger (Beloit, Wis./Beloit Turner) finished second in the same event with a 6-04.75 (1.95 meters), and sophomore
Jake Lautenschlager (Omro, Wis./Omro) tied for fourth with his height of 6-02.75 (1.90 meters).

Zach Jasinski (Sussex, Wis./Hamilton),
Jake Schneider (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth), sophomores
Dwayne Ford (Racine, Wis./Case) and
Tyreik Thomas (Racine, Wis./Case) finished first in 41.75 seconds. Junior
Adam Schommer (Freedom, Wis./Freedom) won the pole vault with a season-best height of 15-03.00 (4.65 meters), and sophomore
Jack Scully (Oshkosh, Wis./West) tied for second at 14-03.25 (4.48 meters).
Freshman
Victor Rinaldi (Medford, Wis./Medford) was one of three UW-W finalists in the 100-meter dash, placing second with a time of 11.09. Freshman
Landon Keefover (Antioch, Ill./Antioch) was also a runner-up, posting a time of 15.26 in the 110-meter hurdles.
Sophomore
Griffin Gawenda (Grayslake, Ill./North) recorded a 21-05.25 (6.53 meters) to finish second in the high jump. Senior
Tanner Stephens (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) was close behind with a 21-04.25 (6.51 meters), good for fourth place.
Stephens placed second in the triple jump with a 45-09.75 (13.96 meters), and was followed closely by freshman
Curtis Pfeil (West Bend, Wis./West), who was third with a 45-03.75 (13.81 meters). Sophomore
Lucas Skaaland (Westby, Wis./Westby) was also among the top five with a 45-00.25 (13.72 meters). All three marks were season bests.
Junior
Seth Zimdars (Ripon, Wis./Ripon) finished third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with his season-best time of 9:47.85. Junior
Landon Zimmerman (New Glarus, Wis./New Glarus) placed third in the shot put with a 51-02.25 (15.60 meters), the top throw among Division III competitors.
Junior
Greg Hatzinger (Marshall, Wis./Marshall) finished fourth in the decathlon with 5,365 points.
UW-Whitewater resumes action next Saturday, April 27, at the annual UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet. Events begin at 11 a.m. at Rex Foster Track.
