The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis squad started their Hilton Head Island, S.C. leg of their spring trip Tuesday morning with a rematch against No. 35 Carleton (Minn.).

The No. 36 Warhawks (8-6) picked up an additional point but suffered their second straight loss to the Knights, 6-3. Carleton topped UW-Whitewater by a 7-2 score back on Sept. 15.

In doubles, freshman Olivia Kraft (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community) and sophomore Sabrina Palavra (Skokie, Ill/Niles North) were the only victors for the Warhawks, emerging with an 8-7 (3) victory in the second doubles slot.

In singles, the Knights quickly clinched the match with three wins in the first four singles slots.  Senior Julie Martin (Morton, Ill./Morton) was the lone Warhawk winner of the first four decisions with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph in the second slot.  Freshman Elise Ha (Palatine, Ill./Fremd) won in the fifth slot, 6-4, 6-1.

The Warhawk women will return to the courts alongside the men Wednesday to face DePauw (Ind.).  The women will play their last match of the trip at 7:30 a.m. Central Time, while the men will play their second-to-last match of the spring trip at 11 a.m. Central Time.
