The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's team shutout conference opponent UW-Stout 4-0 on Saturday. This marks the 11th game in a row that the women have remained unbeaten.

The Warhawks improve to 11-4-3 overall and 4-0-1 in the WIAC while the Blue Devils drop to 4-12 and 1-5.

UW-W controlled the game from the very start, recording seven shots and three corner kicks in the first 10 minutes. In the sixth minute,
Katy Kusswurm (South Elgin, Ill./St. Charles North) and
Anna Boyd (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) tallied shots on goal.
Elizabeth Klein (Burlington, Wis./Catholic Central) added an additional shot on goal in the eighth minute.

The first goal came in the 15th minute when
Elli Wahlberg (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) was able to connect with Boyd's assist to put the Warhawks up 1-0.

In the 32nd minute,
Jenel Karow (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) took a shot and hit the crossbar. Boyd was able to use the rebound to head the ball into the back of the net.

The Warhawks were able to gain possession early in the second half, earning three corner kicks in the 48th minute. Just one minute later, Kusswurm crossed the ball to
Savannah Curtis (Lodi, Wis./Lodi), who headed the ball past the goalkeeper.

The offense continued to find opportunities, as they tallied an additional nine shots on goal from the 58th until the 86th minute. Players with one included
Olivia May (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn Area) and Wahlberg. Brodjian and Karow found two shots on goal apiece. Boyd wrapped up the group, tallying three in the 60th, 84th and 85th minutes.

Late in the game, Brodjian found a gap in front of the box to score the final point of the game, putting the Warhawks up 4-0 to secure the win.
The team recorded 34 shots, including 17 on goal. This marks a season high for the women.

UW-Whitewater will be back in action on Wednesday to host UW-Eau Claire, a game postponed from Oct. 5. Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m.
