The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team dropped a road match to No. 18 North Park by a score of 2-1.

The Warhawks overall record moves to 12-4-1, while the Vikings improve to 11-4.

North Park's offense controlled the first half of the game, but
Jake King (McHenry, Ill./McHenry West) and the defense were able to stop their multiple shots on goal in the first 25 minutes.

The Vikings first goal came in the 31st minute after the ball was able to find its way past the Warhawk defense after a corner kick.

In the 38th minute, the two teams were going back and forth in the Whitewater box, and North Park was able to find a gap for a 2-0 lead.

At the end of the half,
Evan Donini (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha West) found a header shot in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper was able to make the save.

UW-W found control in the second half as the team was able to limit the Vikings shots on goal. In the 73rd minute,
Andres Villarreal (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) headed the ball into the back of the net, good for his second goal of the season. The assist came from
Brian Zimdars (Galena, Ohio/Olentangy).

After a corner kick in the 80th minute,
Kevin Mesich (West Allis, Wis./West Allis Hale) and
Brad Ludwig (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) tallied shots, but were unable to get past the defenders to tie the game.

King set a career high in this match, recording nine saves.
