The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 loss to Wheaton (Ill.) on Saturday afternoon.

The Warhawks dip to 12-3-1 while the Thunder move to 9-4-2 in their respective seasons.

UW-W was limited to two shots in the first half.

Henry Raymonds (Brookfield, Wis./Brookfield East) recorded UW-Whitewater's first shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the header was not able to sneak past the goalkeeper.

In the 38th minute, Wheaton took advantage of a corner kick to find a gap in the box and scored the lone goal of the game.

UW-Whitewater's second shot came from
Kevin Mesich (West Allis, Wis./West Allis Hale), but it sailed wide left in the 39th minute.

Within the first minute of the second half, Raymonds tallied his second shot on goal, but the keeper was there again to make the save.

The Warhawks earned a corner kick in the 50th minute.
Mariano Carini's (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) header from
Steven Wright's (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake) corner was just off of the mark.

Rounding out UW-W's attack attempts were a shot on goal from
Brad Ludwig (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) in the 59th minute and aÂ
Hozai Ceballos (Janesville, Wis./Janesville Craig) shot in the 80th minute.

The men were unable to tie up the game in the final 10 minutes.

UW-Whitewater will travel to Chicago, Ill., on Wednesday to face No. 23 North Park. Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m.
