The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team fell to the University of Chicago Sunday at Wangerin Courts.

The No. 34 nationally-ranked Warhawks (21-7) dropped their second dual on the season to No. 10 Chicago in a 5-0 loss. UW-Whitewater was in the midst of its 11th straight NCAA Tournament appearance and sixth Sweet 16 in program history.

The Maroons (19-4) claimed all three doubles matches and earned the first two singles decisions to punch their ticket to the national quarterfinals. Senior Alexandra Talyansky (Mequon/Homestead) won in her first set in a tiebreaker against the region's No. 2 player, Marjorie Antohi, before the match was called in the second set due to decision being reached.
