The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's swimming and diving programs each earned dual wins Friday at UW-Oshkosh in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference competition.
The Warhawk men defeated the Titan men 153-60, while the women emerged with a 164-68 triumph.
The men swept all 11 swimming events. Sophomore
Tyler Chatterton (Kenosha, Wis./Tremper) claimed the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.41 and the 200-yard freestyle in 1:52.68. He was also a part of the Warhawks' winning 400-yard medley relay, which touched the wall in 3:42.82.
On the women's side, senior
Erin Hawker (Chanhassen, Minn./Hutchinson), junior
Bailey Weston (Fort Atkinson, Wis./Fort Atkinson), sophomores
Baily Hornstein (West Bend, Wis./West) and
Olivia Theobald (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) each claimed multiple individual events. Hawker took the 200-yard backstroke in 2:19.50 and the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:35.72, and Weston won the 100- and 200-yard freestyle events with results of 56.98 and 2:02.88, respectively.
Theobald swept the distance freestyle events, touching the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle at 5:33.14 and the 1650-yard freestyle with a mark of 18:56.10. Hornstein swept the 1- and 3-meter diving events, posting a 209.93 on the 1-meter board and a 198.83 on the 3-meter board.
The Warhawks return to action next Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. as they host UW-Stevens Point at the Williams Center.
