NOTABLE
- Three of the last four games between UW-River Falls and UW-Whitewater have been decided late in the fourth quarter. In addition to the 2017 game, the Warhawks needed overtime in 2016 to clinch a 27-20 triumph. In 2014, UW-Whitewater scored the go-ahead touchdown with 26 seconds left for a 28-25 victory on the road.
- Per Tim Wester of the Janesville Gazette, the Warhawks' 19 points allowed through the first six games of the season are fewer than the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014 national championship teams. The 2009 and 2014 defenses each allowed 30 points through the first six games.
