Men's Tennis Falls in NCAA Second Round

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team concluded its 11th consecutive NCAA Division III Championship appearance Saturday morning with a 5-0 setback at No. 21 Gustavus Adolphus in a second-round contest in St. Peter, Minn.

The Warhawks (15-12 overall) were edged in a trio of closely contested doubles matches before dropping their first two singles matches.

The Gusties (25-8) clinched the match at the No. 5 position and the remaining matches were halted as a team decision was reached.

UW-Whitewater earned its third straight trip to the second round of the national tournament after ousting Concordia (Wis.) by a 5-0 margin on Friday.
