The No. 17 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team split a pair of matches against opponents from Minnesota Saturday in St. Peter, Minn.
The Warhawks (6-4 overall) dropped their first match against a Division III opponent this season, falling 8-1 against 23rd-ranked Gustavus Adolphus to open the day. The team responded with a 6-3 triumph over Macalester to close out the trip.

Lucas Monterroso (Montevideo, Uruguay/Colegio Jesus Maria) completed the doubles sweep with a 9-8 (6) triumph at No. 3.
Monterroso quickly earned the Warhawks' fourth point with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles, and freshman
Brett Conard (Glendale, Wis./Nicolet) tallied a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 6 to clinch the match.
Wood provided a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at the third spot to account for the final margin.
Against Gustavus (10-2), Zurowski and junior
Zane Navratil (Racine, Wis./The Prairie School) combined for an 8-6 victory at No. 3 doubles to give the Warhawks their lone point of the match.
UW-Whitewater returns to action Friday as it hosts Carthage for a dual match at 6 p.m. at Premier Tennis and Fitness in Janesville.
