The No. 17 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's tennis team used a strong start in doubles Saturday to cruise to a 7-2 victory over Augustana (Ill.) in a dual match at Hitters Sportsplex in Middleton.
The Warhawks (8-4 overall) claimed their third straight win behind a 3-0 doubles record and four victories in singles play to drop the Vikings to 5-7 overall.

Lucas Monterroso (Montevideo, Uruguay/Colegio Jesus Maria) clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at the sixth slot.
Wood registered a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5, and Engelhart rounded out Warhawk scoring with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph at No. 3.
UW-Whitewater resumes action March 18 at Whittier as part of a four-match spring break trip to California.
