Final Results
Robert Starnes (Green Bay, Wis./Green Bay Preble) and
Theron Baumann (Monona Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) each won their respective events Saturday to lead the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team to a second place finish at the 2016 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Warhawks, the host of the event, finished with 141.50 points, the most since 2007. UW-La Crosse won the event for the 26th year in a row.

Starnes captured the long jump title on Friday and added the high jump title to his resume on Saturday. Starnes also won the high jump at the 2016 WIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Saturday, Starnes leapt over a height of 6' 6" (1.98m) to earn ten points for the Warhawks. Teammates
Dylan Ferger (Beloit, Wis./Beloit Turner) and
Cameron Magee (Richland Center, Wis./Ithaca) finished second and tied for third, respectively, for an additional 13.5 team points.

Baumann won the discus with a distance of 166' (50.59m). Teammates
Josh Davison (Waterloo, Wis./Waterloo),
Levi Perry (East Moline, Ill./United Township) and
Kyle McNeil (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community) finished 5-6-7 in the event for nine more team points. Baumann added a fourth place finish in the shot put with a toss of 53' 1/4" (16.16m).

Also of note on Saturday were two new school records.
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) set a school record, breaking his own mark, in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.54. Witt's time is currently the fourth fastest among NCAA Division III competitors this season. Witt also finished second in the 200 on Saturday with a time of 21.61.

Mike Judd (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) also set a school record in the 110 meter hurdles. Judd finished the event in a time of 14.36 seconds, fourth fastest in NCAA DIII. Judd also earned the WIAC Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete award, becoming the seventh Warhawk to win the award since 1986. More to come on that later this week on uwwsports.com.

CJ Klingbeil (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) joined Judd on the awards stand finishing seventh in the 100 meter hurdles.

Tanner Stephens (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) and
Matt Green (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) visited the podium for the triple jump. Stephens turned a season best distance of 46' 6.75" (14.19m) to take second in the event. Green finished fifth.
Josh Selje (Rio, Wis./Rio) finished the decathlon with a season high 6,139 points to take fourth and earn five poitns for the Warhawks.

Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) finished fifth in the 400 meter dash while
Trent Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) landed eighth in the 800 meter run.

Both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams set season best marks Saturday. The 4x100 relay team of
Connor Larson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North),
Grant Loess (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North),
Zak Loess (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) and Witt finished third. The 4x400 squad of
Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union),
Logan Zeien (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere), Larson and
Connor Arneson (Oshkosh, Wis./West) finished fourth.

UW-W will travel to three more meets this season with the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. The complete list of qualifiers for the 2016 NCAA DIII Championships will be released on Saturday, May 21 at 8 am on NCAA.com.
