Results
Four members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's track and field team competed Friday on the second day of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
The Warhawks concluded the day with 14 points, good for a tie for fourth place overall.
Sophomores
Theron Baumann (Monona Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) and Cameron MaGee garnered All-America accolades to lead UW-Whitewater.
Baumann earned the fifth All-America medal of his career with a fourth-place finish in the shot put. He posted a mark of 56-01.25 (17.10 meters) to record his fourth national top-eight finish.
MaGee registered a 6-08.25 (2.04 meters) in the high jump, good for an eighth place finish and his first trip to the All-America podium.
Sophomore
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) qualified fourth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.63 seconds. He also qualified Thursday in the 200. Saturday's 100 final is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., followed by the 200 final at 3:40 p.m.
Senior
Mike Judd (Chicago, Ill./St. Laurence) closed out his standout career with a 17th-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a result of 14.86. He was an All-American in the 60-meter hurdles and a three-time Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion during his four seasons with the team. Judd was named WIAC Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete for outdoor track and field.
Senior
Zach Stockheimer (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) is scheduled to compete in the hammer throw Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Junior Amanda Strupp will represent the Warhawk women in the hammer throw, which begins at 11:30 a.m.
