Four University of Wisconsin-Whitewater track and field relays participated Friday in the Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
On the women's side, the 4x100-meter relay team of sophomore Chelsie Bence, junior Aisha Coleman, freshmen Brianna Frey and Celeste Madda posted a time of 49.44 seconds, good for 27th overall.
Senior Candice Wayne, junior Meredith Heller, sophomore Morgan McCuen and junior Leah Richter combined to place 20th in the 4x400-meter relay with a mark of 3:52.81, the Warhawks' top time this season.
For the men, juniors
Connor Larson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North),
Grant Loess (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North),
Zak Loess (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) and sophomore
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./Appleton North) teamed up in the 4x100-meter relay. The quartet crossed the finish line in 42.42 seconds, good for 15th place.

Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union), junior
Connor Larson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) and freshman
Trent Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) finished 24th with a result of 3:18.84, good for the team's best this year.
UW-Whitewater continues action Saturday at the Drake Relays, and hosts the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative Meet Sunday starting at 10 a.m. at Rex Foster Track.
