Whitewater, Wis. – The No. 4 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team remained undefeated Friday with a doubleheader sweep against fellow 2015 NCAA qualifier Ripon College in non-conference play at Prucha Field at Miller Stadium.
The Warhawks (11-0 overall) edged the Red Hawks 10-1 in Game 1 before taking the nightcap by a 14–1 tally in seven innings.
In the opener, sophomore first baseman
Blake Fleischman (Germantown, Wis./Germantown), who finished 2-for-2 at the plate in the game, supplied the first runs of the game with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. Junior shortstop
Jordan Kuczynski (Germantown/Germantown) and sophomore designated hitter
Austin Jones (Wauwatosa, Wis./West) each finished with two hits apiece.
Senior right fielder
Trent Diekvoss (Beaver Dam/Beaver Dam) finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Freshman third baseman
Cal Aldridge (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge) went 2-for-4 at the plate with a run scored and a run batted in.
Sophomore pitcher
Lake Bachar (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) (4-0) tossed six innings to earn the victory. Bachars final line was four hits, one run, and seven strikeouts. Junior reliever
John Olejniczak (Valparaiso, IN/Valparaiso) pitch two scoreless innings in relief, finishing with one strikeout. Sophomore
Heath Renz (Jefferson, Wis./Jefferson) pitched the final inning of the game to seal the victory for the Warhawks.
Ripon (2-11 overall) score their lone run of the game in the top of the sixth inning on a single up the middle.
In the second game, UW-Whitewater registered four runs in the third inning and didn't look back.
Junior second baseman
Steve Chamberlain (Rockford, IL/Guilford) and Aldridge each recorded three hits on four attempts at the plate in the shortened game. Chamberlain led the team in the second game with three runs scored. Jones posted two hits, two runs scored and one run batted in.
Freshman catcher
Justin Wegner (Naperville, Ill./Central) and Kuczynski both recorded two runs batted in. Kuczynski finished 2-for-4 at the plate, to go along with two runs scored. Diekvoss led the team with three runs batted in, in the second game.
Senior pitcher
Curtis Morgan (Green Lake/Green Lake) picked up the win, his second of the year. The right-hander allowed one run on four hits, to go along with two strike outs. Reliever's

Connor Hurst (Waunakee/Waunakee) and
Riley Gruetzmacher (Oconto Falls, Wis./Oconto Falls) each pitched an inning of work without allowing a run.
The Warhawks continue action Tuesday April, 5th with a doubleheader against St. Norbert in Depere, Wis.
