Related Links:Results The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's and women's track and field teams both competed at the UW-Stevens Point Final Qualifying Meet on Saturday afternoon looking to qualify individuals for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.

For the women, sophomore
Sarah Kasiurak (Bartlett, Ill./Bartlett) took seventh in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:33.46. The other running event the Warhawks participated in was the 4x400-meter relay. The team of
Candice Wayne (West Bend, Wis./West),
Morgan McCuen (Franklin, Wis./Franklin),
Meredith Heller (Hales Corners, Wis./Whitnall), and
Leah Richter (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) placed eighth with a time of 3:55.51.
Sophomore
Erika Sternard (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) placed 10th in the high jump with a jump of 5-0.50 (1.54m). Teammate
Emma Glogovsky (Elkhorn, Wis./Elkhorn) placed 13th in the pole vault with a clearance of 10-10.25 (3.31m). Junior
Genny Rose Stringer (Assumption, Ill./Assumption) participated in the shot put and weight throw. She placed 15th in the shot put with a toss of 39-8.50. In the weight throw she had a throw of 51-2.75 (15.59m) which was good enough for 13th place.
On the men's side, sophomore
Theron Baumann (Monona Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 53-00.75. The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of
Connor Arneson (Oshkosh, Wis./West),
Connor Larson (St. Charles, Ill./North),
Logan Zeien (Belvidere, Ill./Belvidere), and
Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union) placed ninth with a time of 3:21.37. The Distance Medley Team placed fifth with a time of 10:12.45. Participants on the team were
Jonah Nelson (Dodgeville, Wis./Dodgeville/Mineral Point),
Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union),
Alec Meixelsperger (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and
Brett Harms (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater).
UW-Whitewater will compete next weekend at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on Mar. 11-12th in Grinnell, Iowa.
