Related Links:Box Score Auburndale, Fla. – The No. 4 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater baseball team tallied a run in the third and fourth inning to seal a 2-1 victory over Castleton University (Vt.) in a non-conference affair at Lake Myrtle Park.
The Warhawks (9-0 overall) concluded their thirteen-day, nine-game spring break trip with another solid all-around performance.
UW-Whitewater recorded seven hits offensively, and two different pitchers combined to hold the Spartans (8-9 overall) to just one run despite eight hits. The Warhawks' staff stranded nine base runners and struck out nine batters.

Curtis Morgan (Green Lake/Green Lake) started the contest, giving up one run on six hits, while striking out three batters. Junior right-hander
Mike Nompleggi (Oconto Falls/Oconto Falls) tossed 6 2/3rd innings of scoreless baseball to earn his first victory of the season. Nompleggi allowed two hits, while striking out six batters in the effort.
