The Warhawks amassed 137 points, 33 shy of first-place UW-Oshkosh.
Sophomores
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./North) and
Chanler Leonard (Dodgeville, Wis./Dodgeville/Mineral Point) won the 60-meter dash and the high jump, respectively. Witt crossed the finish line in 6.88 seconds, just one-hundredth of a second shy of his career best, while Leonard's mark of 6-04.75 tied for the highest at the meet.
Seniors
Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford, Wis./Waterford Union),
Zach Stockheimer (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) and sophomore
Jonah Nelson (Dodgeville, Wis./Dodgeville/Mineral Point) placed second in their events with team season best results. Rudebeck posted a time of 49.49 in the 400-meter dash, while Nelson finished the 800-meter run in 1:56.92. Stockheimer recorded the best toss of his career in the weight throw with a 58-04.00.
Senior
CJ Klingbeil (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly), junior
Scott Wolter (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) and sophomore
Theron Baumann (Monona Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) were also runners-up in their respective events. Wolter finished the 3,000-meter run in 8:51.97, and Baumann tallied a 54-08.00 in the shot put. Klingbeil was second in the 60-meter hurdles with a mark of 8.47.
One day earlier at the Wisconsin Open in Madison, Baumann registered a team season best of 55-05.50 in the shot put.
UW-Whitewater continues action Friday and Saturday, Feb. 26-27, at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. Competition begins Friday at 11:30 a.m. and continues Saturday at 9 a.m.
