The No. 5 Warhawk men placed second with a team score of 165. The women finished fourth with a final team score of 65.
For the men, sophomore
Robert Starnes (Green Bay, Wis./Preble) won the high jump and long jump. Starnes won the high jump with a jump of 6-08.75 (2.05m), and a jump of 23-08 (7.21m) won the long jump. Sophomore
Parker Witt (Appleton, Wis./North) won the 200m dash with a time of 22.16.
UW-Whitewater was well represented in the field events this afternoon outside of Starnes.
Aron Schwartz (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) took fourth in the pole vault with a jump of 14-04.50 (4.38m), while teammate
Cole Trumble (Darlington, Wis./Darlington) placed third in the triple jump with a leap of 38-10.50 (11.85m).
Theron Baumann (Monona Grove, Wis./Monona Grove) and
Zach Stockheimer (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) both won the shot put and the weight throw. Baumann won the shot put with a toss of 55-02.75 (16.83m), Stockheimer won the weight throw with a throw of 54-07.50 (16.65m).
On the women's side, junior
Amanda Strupp (Slinger, Wis./Slinger) was the lone Warhawk to place first in an individual event this afternoon. Strupp won the weight throw with a toss of 56-01.25 feet (17.10m). Teammate
Erika Sternard (Cary, Ill./Cary-Grove) placed second in the high jump with a leap of 5-02.25 feet (1.58m).
Candice Wayne (West Bend, Wis./West) placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.95 seconds. Senior
