UW-Whitewater, which is ranked No. 1 by both D3football.com and the American Football Coaches Association, scored with 38 seconds left to take the lead for good.
Coming off a bye week, the Pioneers (3-0) are slotted 14th by D3football.com and 12th by the AFCA. UW-Platteville tallied 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter and scored in overtime to stun then-No. 13 North Central (Ill.) 35-28 in Platteville.
