Two Warhawks improved their qualifying marks for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday.
Jared Denu (Waunakee/Waunakee) posted a season best time of 48.06 in the 400 meter dash, the 17th fastest time in Division III this season.
Shelby Mahr (Boyd/Stanley-Boyd) heaved the shotput 143-8 for her season best, a distance ranked 20th in DIII this season.
Denu competed alongside additional Warhawks trying to improve their qualifying marks at the
NCC Gregory Invitational hosted by North Central College. Mahr competed with her teammates in the throws at the
UW-Oshkosh Final Qualifier. Denu and Mahr were the only Warhawks competing Friday to improve their marks in the Division III honor roll.

This week/weekend marks the final chances for individuals to qualify for the national meet. The Warhawks that have qualified will compete in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Delaware, Ohio May 22-24 hosted by Ohio Wesleyan.
