Field Athletes Compete at Wisconsin Open

A contingent of UW-Whitewater men's and women's field athletes traveled to Madison, Wisconsin Saturday to compete at the Wisconsin Open.

Genny Rose Stringer (Assumption, IL/Assumption) led the charge throwing a season best distance of 45.81 meters in the discus.  The distance is fifth on the NCAA DIII honor roll.

Teammates Bethany Neuberger (Denmark/Denmark) and Melanie Pilon (Waukesha/South) also recorded individual season bests.  Neuberger recorded a distance of 31.43 meters in the javelin and Pilon propelled herself over the bar set at 3.70 meters in the pole vault.

On the men's side Josh Davison (Waterloo/Waterloo) threw a season best 47.15 meters in the discus.

The Warhawks have two more last chance meets next week before the NCAA DIII Outdoor Championships in Delaware, Ohio beginning on May 22.
