Saturday Recap
The Warhawk 4x100 relay team of Moriarty Brown-Griffin (Racine/Park), Dylan Crafton (Milwaukee/Wauwatosa West), Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford/Waterford Union) and Corey Broussard (Waukesha/South) finished seventh in the distinguished Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa Saturday. The foursome crossed the finish line in 41.59. Iowa Western won the relay with a time of 40.45.

Additional relay teams and Justin Bowers (Lake Geneva/Badger) in the long jump represented UW-Whitewater at the Drake Relays Friday. 

Friday Recap
The men's 4x100 meter relay team took sixth in the preliminaries Friday at the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa to advance to the finals on Saturday.  Moriarty Brown-Griffin (Racine/Park), Dylan Crafton (Milwaukee/Wauwatosa West), Bryce Rudebeck (Waterford/Waterford Union), and Corey Broussard (Waukesha/South) turned in a time of 41.33 to advance to the nine team final.  The finals take place at 3:30 pm on Saturday.

Three other relay teams competed on Friday but failed to qualify for the finals.  UW-W's 4x400 men's team of Rudebeck, Alex Sharrock (Wales/Kettle Moraine), DQ Wynn-Smith (Waukesha/South) and Jared Denu (Waunakee/Waunakee) clocked a 3:15.53 to finish sixteenth in the prelims.  The women's 4x100 team of Megan Linse (Jefferson/Jefferson), Jennifer Rathsack (Plymouth/Plymouth), Haley Precia (Menomonee Falls/Menomonee Falls) and Beth Dreikosen (Sheboygan/North) finished 30th in preliminaries with a time of 50.13, and the 4x400 team of Dreikosen, Brooke Linse (Jefferson/Jefferson), Candice Wayne (West Bend/West) and Lexie Sondgeroth (Rochelle, IL/Township) finished 16th in prelims with a time of 3:52.28.  The top nine teams from each relay advance to the finals.

Justin Bowers (Lake Geneva/Badger) also competed for UW-W on Friday.  His distance of 6.88m (22' 7") in the long jump placed him 25th in the field of 30 jumpers.
