The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team defeated UW-La Crosse 8-1 and UW-Eau Claire 7-2 Saturday in La Crosse. The Warhawks, ranked seventh in the Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, have now won seven straight dual matches to improve to 19-7. The Eagles fall to 14-5 and the Blugolds, ranked 20th in the Central Region, fall to 13-9.

Byron Balkin (Madison/Memorial) won a tight match at one singles against La Crosse and paired with Humphreys for two 8-1 wins at one doubles. The tandem is 7-0 this season.
Brian Klein (Brookfield/East) won both three singles matches to improve to 16-12 this season.
Cam Laktash (Crystal Lake, IL/South) won in straight sets twice, once at five singles and once at four singles, to improve to 11-3 while teammate
Michael Schnarr (Madison/Memorial) won in straight sets in six singles in both matches.
In the six doubles matches Saturday the Warhawks lost a combined 16 games.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the Warhawks have defeated the other three WIAC schools that sponsor men's tennis. UW-W defeated UW-Oshkosh Friday.
The Warhawks will travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a dual match against Coe College on April 27 at 10 am.
