The 23rd ranked UW-Whitewater men's tennis team wrapped up their spring trip with a 7-2 win over Carleton College Thursday in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The men improve to 13-7 while Carleton falls to 10-6. The Warhawks are ranked 23rd in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association while also receiving a 5th place ranking in the Central Region. Carleton is ranked 10th in the Central Region.

Jake Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) improved to 21-6 with a straight sets victory at one singles 6-0, 6-3. He teamed up with
Byron Balkin (Madison/Memorial) at one doubles to earn another win, 8-2. Balkin also stormed back to win a three set thriller at three singles 2-6, 6-2, 10-3.
The Warhawks also came out on the winning end of two other three set matches.
Ben Shklyar (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield) won 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 and
Rithwik Rajshekhar Raman (Chennai, Tamil Nadu-India/SAIDS British Education) won 7-5, 5-7, 10-8 at two and four singles respectively.
Matt Bisbee (Chicago, IL/Marist) made quick work of Carleton's number six singles player winning 6-2, 6-2 to improve to 12-8 this season.
UW-W will return to Whitewater for their next five matches, the first of which take place on April 5. UW-W will host Carroll University at 9:30 am followed by Monmouth College at 3:30 pm at the Wangerin Courts on the campus of UW-W.
