Warhawks Play Two in Green Bay

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The UW-Whitewater men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches in Green Bay on Sunday. The Warhawks lost the first match, 6-3, to Washington University-St. Louis, and the second match, 5-0, against D-I UW-Green Bay.

Jake Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) teamed with Scott Butler (Eagan, MN/Eagan) to earn a hard fought victory at second doubles, 8-4, and Martin Beck (Minneapolis/South) and Cam Laktash (Crystal Lake, IL/South) were victorious at third doubles, taking their match, 8-3.
 
Eighth-ranked Jake Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) defeated #26 Jeremy Bush in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4, to earn the only point for the Warhawks in singles.
 
UW-Green Bay; UW-Whitewater, 5-0
The only win for the Warhawks came at third doubles where Cam Laktash (Crystal Lake, IL/South) and Martin Beck (Minneapolis/South) took their match into a tie-break and walked away with a win 6-5 (10).
 
UW-Whitewater will hit the road for its next match when it faces Kenyon College on Saturday.
