EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team used an effecient offensive output to cruise past UW-Eau Claire 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-19). The Warhawks improve to 24-7 overall and 6-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Blugolds fall to 16-16 and 3-4 in league play.
The Warhawks hit .303 pounding 14 or more kills in each set of the contest while the defense held UW-EC to an attack percentage of just .074.Â
Senior right side
Ariel Feiertag (Brown Deer/Brown Deer) led all players hitting .579 with 12 kills in 19 attempts with just one error. Senior middle
Kristen Ruchti (Brodhead/Brodhead) pounded down 11 kills in 23 attempts with an error for an attack percentage of .435. On the outside junior
Jessica Sabey (Merrill/Merrill) added 10 kills while committing just one error in 23 attempts for an attack percentage of .391.
Ruchti added five blocks including one solo and four assisted. Feiertag and sophomore outside
Lauren Pfeifer (Fort Atkinson/Fort Atkinson) added four blocks each.

Kim Frei (West Bend/West Bend West) registered 35 assists and backcourt teammates senior libero
Kelsey Nobilio (Johnsburg, IL/Johnsburg) and junior defensive specialist
Jaclyn Krizka (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah) notched 12 digs each.
