CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater volleyball team, ranked 25th in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, swept Hamline University 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-21) to record their tenth consecutive win this season. The Warhawks will face the host of the triangular, Coe College Saturday at 2:30.
UW-Whitewater pounded down 20 more kills than their opponent hitting .290 with 51 kills. The Warhawks posted 16 or more kills in each of the sets. The Warhawk defense held the Pipers to an attack percentage of .124 and just 31 kills in the contest.
Sophomore outside hitter
Lauren Pfeifer (Fort Atkinson/Fort Atkinson) led the UW-Whitewater offense with 13 kills and zero errors hitting .448 in the match. Junior outside

Kristen Ruchti (Brodhead/Brodhead) hammered down 10. Ruchti and Pfeifer each added two blocks.

UW-Whitewater will wrap up their weekend in Iowa against Coe Saturday afternoon. The Warhawks opened the weekend in Dubuque with a sweep of Loras and a 3-1 win over the University of Dubuque Friday night.
