The Warhawk women's tennis team improved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play with an 8-1 win over UW-La Crosse on the road Saturday morning.

Megan Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper) and Hillary Franzen (Wausau/West) lead the Warhawks in wins, each holding a 6-0 record, after picking up wins at three and five singles respectively. Alexandra Bayliss (Sheboygan/North) and Jackie Vitale (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) topped the Eagles' duo 8-3 to improve to 6-0 this season in number one doubles competition.

UW-W is a perfect 24-0 in singles matches in dual competitions this season.

Whitewater will compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships in St. Peter, Minnesota Friday-Sunday, September 20-22.
