OSHKOSH, WI -- The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women's tennis team swept UW-Oshkosh in a Tuesday night dual. 

The Warhawks opened up with the doubles point. Ashley Adkisson (Lincolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) and Chloe Knutson (Deforest, Wis./Deforest) took the third flight, followed closely by Kaitlyn Remke (Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central) & Alex Repplier (Champlin, Minn./Champlin Park) at the second. Both the second & third flight won, 6-2. Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) & Ava Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) finished the doubles sweep with a 6-3 victory at the top flight.

Ashley Adkisson (Lincolnshire, Ill./Stevenson) & Kaitlyn Remke (Johnsburg, Ill./Marian Central) got the singles flights moving quickly with two more wins. Adkisson only dropped two games in a straight set victory at singles No. 3, then Remke only lost one game in the first set of the second singles flight.

Abigail Weaver (Wakarusa, Ind./Mishawaka Marian) clinched the match with a win at the top singles flight. Ava Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis./Cedarburg) & Chloe Knutson (Deforest, Wis./Deforest) were both able to grab victories at their respective flights to bring the Warhawks to 6-0. 

Ella Alcalde (Burlington, Wis./Westosha Central) finished out the sweep, battling from behind at the sixth flight. Alcalde lost the first set 1-6, but was able to force the tiebreaker with a 7-5 second set. Alcalde carried the momentum into the tiebreaker, winning 10-4, & giving the Warhawks a 7-0 conference victory.
