The UW-Whitewater women's tennis team extended their win streak to 54 against Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents with a 9-0 sweep of UW-River Falls Saturday before weather forced the teams indoors. The Warhawks handed Cardinal Stritch their first loss of the season, 7-2, at the Premier Tennis and Fitness facility in Janesville Saturday evening.

Alexandra Bayliss (Sheboygan/North) and
Hillary Franzen (Wausau/West) added two wins to their singles' totals this season to improve to a perfect 9-0 each. The Warhawks have lost just two doubles flights for a record of 28-2 and boast a singles record of 58-2 in dual matches this season.
Whitewater improved to 10-0 with the two wins this season. River Falls is now 1-8 and the Wolves are 4-1.
The Warhawks will head to Madison to compete in the WIAC Championship October 26 and 27. The league championship marks the last competition for the fall season for UW-W.
