UW-Whitewater won their 52nd consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference dual match with a 9-0 sweep of UW-Stevens Point Tuesday in Stevens Point. The Warhawks have not lost a conference match since October 7, 2006 when they fell to UW-La Crosse 6-3.

Megan Humphreys (Kenosha/Tremper), the number two singles player for UW-W, improved to 14-0 overall with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Katelyn Asfeld. Humphreys has won every match in straight sets this season with just one tiebreak.
Hillary Franzen (Wausau/West) upped her season singles record to 13-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Natalie Cardenas at six singles. Franzen has won in straight sets in 12 of 13 matches.
Alexandra Bayliss (Sheboygan/North) and
Jackie Vitale (Roselle, IL/Lake Park) improved to 9-1 as a pair with an 8-3 win over Rachel Brown and Taylor Weuve at one doubles. Bayliss, also the number one singles player, improved her singles record to 12-1.
UW-W is now 7-0 in dual matches this season and UW-Stevens Point falls to 8-3. The Warhawks have not dropped a singles match in duals all year and have only lost two doubles matches.
The Warhawks will host the UW-W Fall Invite Friday and Saturday this week at Wangerin Courts on the campus of UW-Whitewater. Most of the competition is Division I and II and includes UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, Grand Valley State, Ferris State, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Northern Illinois.
