The UW-Whitewater men's tennis lost to Gustavus Adolphus College 5-1 in the second round of the NCAA Division III championship tournament Saturday on the Wangerin Courts in Whitewater, Wisconsin. UW-W ends the year 22-8. Gustavus, 21-7, advances to face Washington University in Saint Louis, 16-5, in the regional final Sunday at 12:00 in Whitewater.

UW-W won the meeting between the schools earlier this season, 5-4 April 14 in West Bend, Wisconsin.
Andrew Bayliss (Sheboygan/North), 22-14, and Andrew McGlashen, 22-9, wound up the season with the most singles victories for Whitewater. They also combined for the best doubles mark on the team with their win Saturday improving their record to 23-6.
Whitewater was making its sixth consecutive NCAA III tournament appearance. The Warhawks advanced to the sweet sixteen in 2011.
The NCAA III men's tennis championship finals will be hosted by Meredith College and the Town of Cary in Cary, North Carolina May 21-23. Sunday's Gustavus-Washington winner will join seven other regional winners for the quarterfinals, semifinals and final.
